Visitor Experience
The Frontier Museum is of the U.S. Army but is not specific to the Army. It’s an important distinction since no one group is credited with Westward Expansion or settling the frontier. Instead, it involved different families, genders, races, religions and groups (Native Americans, settlers, cowboys, mountain men, trappers, traders, military, etc.). That’s the American way.
A Welcoming and Inspiring
Experience for all
The world knows America’s story best through its Wild West days. It is time to tell the rest of the story, one inclusive of all who played a role. We are all descendants of those who headed West.
- Interactive displays that give young visitors a hands-on look at frontier life.
- In-depth resources and exhibits for history enthusiasts to discover new insights.
- Outdoor spaces that extend learning beyond the museum walls.

Group Tours, Field Trips, and Events
The museum is being designed as a dynamic community space. Group tours, field trips, and community events will be integral to our vision, making this a place where visitors can deepen their understanding of the frontier while enjoying the beautiful grounds.
Building the museum is a gift to the American people. The hope is guests enter, learn the history surrounding the frontier, feel connected to the past, and leave with a renewed spirit for the future.

A New Home for America’s Story
More than a place to learn about history, the museum is designed to be a place to connect with the people, places, and events that shaped America. The museum will give a voice to everyone who was part of this journey. Every visit to the Frontier Museum will be a chance to step into the past, explore our shared heritage, and leave with a renewed appreciation for the resilience and vision that defines the American spirit.
